Over on the Cricut Circle message board, we were challenged by the lovely Sara to Dig it Out! Dust it Off! Put it to Use! No buying unless it was for a specific project and we would use it right away.
A little rummaging through my drawers produced these really cool Fancy Pants Glitter Cuts. I'm not sure why I bought them (because they were shiny???), but decided they would look awesome on a mixed media canvas. I started by decoupaging my canvas with some Soreh Designs tissue paper I found in my cart and I used Dylusion inks over that. But I didn't like how deep the colors were, so I set that one aside and made a second one using Heidi Swapp color mists. Much better! I added my Glitter cuts and some rub-ons and doodling and MME enamel dots. I made a little bow from feather yarn and attached at the top. Finally I glued hangers on the back of the canvas and some pretty pink ribbon to hang my creation. This stash busting is a very fun activity! Can't wait to see what other little treasures I come across digging through my drawers. I may have to start giving stuff away! Thanks for stopping by!

~Stashing through the snow - Project #1 - Girl Stuff altered box
Over on the Cricut Circle message board, we were challenged by the lovely Sara to Dig it Out! Dust it Off! Put it to Use! No buying unless it was for a specific project and we would use it right away.
Now like some of you, I probably have a teensy weensy bit of stuff stashed away for just that perfect project. Right???? lol
So my first stash busting project was to alter a treasure box that I bought for my granddaughter well over 6 months ago. I don't even think it was on sale. :-( I dug through my paper stash and found just the perfect kit to convert her treasure box into one for "Girl Stuff". I even used up my last page of Shrinky Dinks! This challenge might be fun. If I use it all I get to go shopping!

So I turned this box and paper (and some alcohol ink & ribbon & shrinky dinks!)
into this! To hide girl stuff!

~Sympathy Card
Sympathy cards are always tough for me. One of my colleagues lost his father around the holidays so I created this card for him. I used only stamping and an embossing folder on this card. Simple but lovely. I hope he liked it.
~Milestone Birthday Card
My beautiful daughter turned 35 on January 4th! woohoo! Boy do I feel old. I decided to try something new, so I made her a shaker card. She loved it! I wish I could remember which cartridge I used for this butterfly, but I lost my notes. :-( Thanks for stopping by!
~December Daily 2014
Still trying to catch up on posting my projects. With the holidays being so busy, the blog is often forgotten. Next up is my December Daily. I went overboard on supplies this year and I probably have enough stuff to make my DD for the next 3 years! sigh. But I had a TON of fun creating this. I warn you that this post is pic heavy. I actually only used cricut cuts on 4 or 5 pages this year, but my all time favorite is Day 18 and the moose from Go Canada! There isn't even a picture for that day. I challenged myself to use HAND JOURNALING this year. I challenged other crafty friends to do the same. I think it may mean something to our kids and grandkids some day to see our handwriting in these albums. Anyway, take a little stroll through my December and come visit again soon!
~Circle MB Calling Card Swap Album
Oh boy do I have a lot of catching up to do! I haven't posted since Thanksgiving!! EEK!
Well I will start with a little album I made to house all of the lovely 3 x 3 creations I received as part of a calling card swap on the Cricut Circle Message Board. I used the same basic techniques that were used when I made the album for the Cricut Mania calling cards that you can see in this post. The only difference is that I only used vertical waterfalls in this album and I spaced the pages a little wider and user fewer of them. I love the way it turned out! And those gals are just so dang talented!! Thanks for stopping by!
