About Me

I am wife to my wonderful husband, mother to two adult children and Nana to one special granddaughter. I also share my heart and my home with several furbabies. Being creative doesn't come easily to me, but I love to try.

~Easter Card~

This Easter card is for my Mother-in-law who really seems to like my hand made cards (maybe she is just being nice).  The card is 6.5" x 5" and the papers are mostly Recollection.  The cross pieces and shadow were cut at 5" from the CCR exclusive Easter Blessings.  The flower, from the same digital, was cut at 1.5 inches, as was the phrase and phrase shadow.  The frame around the card was cut from Fancy Frames and sized for the card.  I also embossed it.  I really love the way this turned out, particularly because purple is my favorite color.  I hope she like it too.  Thanks for stopping by!

I'm a little behind in my posting, but here are a couple of projects that I worked on and presented to my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day this year.  She will be 89 years old in July and has only 1 great grandchild (my granddaughter), so the first project was a brag book for her coffee table.  I used 2011 photos since I actually started this in December and did 1 page for each month of the year.  The last page in the book is a 4 generation shot of her with her son, my daughter and my granddaughter.  She really enjoyed this one.  I used Storybook for the fonts and Elegant Edges for all the pages.

My next project was a scene of St. Francis made to look like a book.  This project was inspired by Sis O'Snap and took a long time to complete.  The characters were cut from New Testament and Noah's ABCs.  The roses came from AP and the frames from Fancy Frames.  The flowers on the front were rolled from scraps of fabric.  The entire box was wrapped in fabric and the frame on the front was also cut from fabric.  Included is the Prayer of St. Francis.
