About Me

I am wife to my wonderful husband, mother to two adult children and Nana to one special granddaughter. I also share my heart and my home with several furbabies. Being creative doesn't come easily to me, but I love to try.

May cards

Wow!  I think I am finally caught up!  This month brings the Mother's Day card, a get well card, a sympathy card and two more birthday cards.  It's a really good thing I keep a planner with birthdays because I seem to have several cards to make every month.  It's also a good thing I really enjoy it.  Well, that's it for now.  Hopefully I can get my December Daily caught up and I'll also be sharing pics of my very first file folder flip book.  Until next time!  Be well and thanks for stopping by!

January/Feb/March/April 2016 projects

Tons more cards and some buttons for Tacoah's valentine day treats and a St. Patrick's day pocket letter.
There were cards for sympathy, get well and a bunch of birthdays for these several months.  Seems like I know a ton of people with birthdays in March and April.  ;-)

December Daily

Well, it's June and my December Daily STILL isn't finished yet!
But when it is, I will update this post with pics!  Hope to complete
it while I'm on vacation, so I can put the box of stuff away for at
least 5 months!  lol

October/November 2015 projects

And there were more cards and pockets letters in October and November.

This was a baby shower card for one of my crafty friends.  We had a shower for her at the Doodle Crew retreat.  Haven't been to one of those in a long time and really enjoyed it.

I got this crazy idea to turn the Tim Holtz Crazy Birds into Crazy Turkey for some Thanksgiving tags.  I made a bunch of these when I went to the Doodle Crew retreat in November and sent them to my crafty friends.

September 2015 projects

September was back to school month and there were also several swaps going on with my crafty friends.  The first order of business was to make a fall wreath for my front door.  This was my very first wreath ever, and I really like the way it turned out.

And then there were the fall pocket letter swaps.  This is a new endevor as well and these little things can be as simple or complicated as you want.  They are a kind of crafty pen pal letter.

And finally there were the usual birthday and get well cards.

Stay tuned.  More coming!

~Where has she been???

I've been here.

Just super super busy. Between October and March is my really, really heads down time at work.  And then I opened my eyes one day and it was June!  Ok, seriously time to catch up.  I know these topics are way out of date, but I need to get there posted here so I can get caught up to the present, so bear with me.

The first one would be the annual Halloween treat bags for Tacoah's classroom.  This year I have a button maker (woohoo!) so I made each of the kids a spooktacular magnet as part of their treat bags.  I used my Explore to cut/print each child's pumpkin name tag and attached their magnet with a foam pop dot.  The purple bags (love them!) were cheap at Walmart.  They worked and the kids love their treats!

Next, I took Kathy Racoosin (thedailymarker) up on another 30 day color challenge.  I just love these challenges as it really forces me to spend some time being creative.  Some days it was only 5 minutes, but the point was that I colored everyday for 30 days.  Here are some of my favorites.  I'll be back!
