~Happy Valentine's Day!~
I have a couple of projects and a card to share today. First up are the valentines that Tacoah and I made for her kindergarten class. Store bought cards were NOT acceptable according to her. She chose the characters to use for the boys (monkeys), girls (kitties) and teacher/aid (koalas) and helped me put these together. Interesting that, as it turns out, these were the ONLY handmade valentines in the class.
Our next project was a mailbox to hold all the valentines! I cut this at 6 inches. I cut each piece twice, once with very sturdy white cardstock and then again with pretty patterned paper, adhering the two together. I started out using tacky tape to put it together, but ended up gluing most of the joints for stablity. I wanted to bling it up some more, but did this late in the day and just ran out of time. There's always next year!
And finally, a Valentine card for the love of my life! This was inspired by an ad in the Joanne circular a couple of weeks ago. The only cricut cut was a heart from Create a Critter 2 (the monkey I think). He loved it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Compared to the store-bought kind, yours win hands-down for sure! They are so cute!!! And I love the little mailbox-- precious!!
ReplyDeleteI love the buttons and quilted look of the card for your husband. I didn't even make a card for mine this year. I love yours because it is still Valentine-y without being girly. Just perfect!
What fun.. we also had to make our valentines this year which I secretly loved. Love the treats and your fun button filled card!
