~A Valentine Gift & Card ~
My BFF has been feeling under the weather for a couple of weeks, so I decided to cheer her up with a little gift. It wasn't originally intended for Valentine's Day, but that's the next holiday and lord knows I have plenty of pretty pink paper, so......
For the card, I used a 2" heart punch and cut three hearts with three different patterned papers. I cut all three apart the same way and then pieced them back together in a patchwork. Added some rub on stitching and buttons and then layered the heart 3 times, hand trimming each layer. I printed the sentiment on the computer.
The gift was a Dimensions 5 x 7 embroidery kit that I completed and framed for her. I thought it would cheer her up a little. She really liked it. I found these kits in the back of Michael's. There are some really cute ones and some are even designed to be pillow covers. They really don't take long to do and use basic embroidery stitches. I may have to do one for my own wall! Thanks for stopping by!

This embroidery is beautiful! I used to love to cross stitch and embroider myself.
